2018 Parish Council Meeting Minutes

Minutes of the Edenham Parish Council Meeting Held in Edenham Village Hall on 9th January 2018 at 7:30 pm

Present: Councillors Mrs P Cranfield (Chairman), Mrs A Whadcock, Mrs A Edwards, Mrs A Schwarz, Mr A Wilson, Mr R Biggs, Mr A Martin,  Mr L Clayton(secretary).

Apologies:Councillors Mr N Robins(South Kesteven District Council), Councillor Mr M Hill (Lincolnshire County Council)

1.0 Open Forum.

The chairman, closed the Open Forum (no public present) and opened the Parish Council Meeting.

2.0   Parish Council Meeting

3.0  Minutes of last meeting:

Cllr Whadcock proposed, seconded Cllr Schwarz, that the minutes be signed as a true record. Agreed.

4.0 Requests for Dispensations, none requested 

5.0 Declarations of Interest, none requested.

6.0 Update from Previous Meeting

Street Cleaning - Ongoing

7.0 Speed Warning Signs:

Secretary reported; Grant bid placed with the National Lottery 'Awards for All' Scheme had been successful, funds received (£2192-00p). Cllr Cranfield proposed, seconded Cllr Martin, that the council accept the terms and conditions of the LRSP Scheme and that the secretary send application to join the scheme (5 sites in Edenham and 3 in Grimsthorpe). Agreed.  Cheque signed for LRSP Sites Survey - £40-00p .

8.0 Children's Play Area:

After discussion on the facilities future it was proposed by Cllr Cranfield, seconded Cllr Biggs, that a further revised application be made to SKDC's Community Fund. Agreed. Cllr Biggs to contact SKDC and process the application.

9.0 Planning Permission

Application S17/2027 - Mr Mrs D Bradley, Bungalow alterations 46 Scottlethorpe Road Edenham - Granted - 22nd Dec 2017.

10.0 Christmas Tree and Lights:

Cllr Biggs/Cllr Cranfield reported; The Carol Singing event in December proved a success and the attendance was good considering the weather. Thanks to all involved; Dennis Murray + team (Tree); Steam Action (Carol Song sheets etc); Heath Cranfield (field + new gateway). Repeat for next year.

Cheques signed re-imburse; Cllr Biggs (£57.17p batteries - xmas tree lights) Cllr Schwarz ( £73-64p refreshments carol singing)

11.0 Financial Matters:

Cheque signed prior to meeting;

i.  HMRC - PAYE 3rd Qtr 2017/18 - £71-00p.

ii. Mr LA Clayton - wage 3rd Qtr 2017/18 -£283-71p. 

12.0 Correspondence

Various correspondences were studied.  Secretary to reply as required

13.0 Other Business:

Cllr Martin reported; Bend Warning Sign between Gravel Bridge and Dolan Lane

14.0 Next Meeting:

The next meeting of the Edenham Parish Council will take place on Tuesday, 13th March 2018 in Edenham Village Hall commencing at 7:30pm

With there being no further business the Chairman closed the meeting at 8:30pm.
